Clothing for birding.

With birders and naturalists in mind, we have chosen Country Innovation and Páramo as specialist clothing manufacturers. We look for warm, waterproof and quiet material and subdued colours, generally greens and browns.

Country Innovation offer sturdy ventile clothing with many useful features, such as good-sized pockets, in a wide range of sizes for both ladies and gentlemen and with appropriate colours very much targeted at the birdwatcher. The ventile cloth is used by the RAF for their pilot flying suits for comfort and support in high performance flying.

Páramo use technically clever micro-fibre material which is very soft and silk-like when next to the skin. They have recently moved into the birdwatching market and consulted with retailers like us to produce the Pájaro and Halcón jackets as their top of the range coats. They work well when worn with interactive fleeces in the winter and as lighter coats in the summer. They are much warmer than the initial feel would lead you to believe.
